...and 2005 comes to a close.

This week's strip was tough! I didn't just paint myself into a corner with a strip requiring a single top ten list -- NOOOOOOO! I had to come up with a concept that necessitated TWO top tens: one for both Danny's and Jonesy's distinct personality and taste. I also wanted both of 'em to like the same number one AND have that choice make at least some degree of sense in context with their tastes.

In addition, getting the -- let's see . . . one, two, mumble mumble, sixteen, mumble -- 27 word balloons to read correctly without much in the way of obvious visual clues (like those stupid, lazy arrows comic book artists used to use all the time), and have the dialogue play well off of itself? Yeah. That was nuts.

A couple of Danny's choices are a bit outlandish, I know, especially "Bewitched." It's doubtful anyone would put that bucket of slop on a top ten list, but it remains one of the more memorable movies of the year -- not for the reasons Columbia Pictures hoped, I'm sure -- so I popped it in there.

By the way . . . if you feel like expressing your opinions about Jonesy's or Danny's list, drop 'em an email:

Thanks for reading!

Really great series, Chris!! But what, no love for Narnia? That should be the most make-funnable movie of all!

Hey, Chris. I just found out about Popcorn Picnic from the Blank Label Comics Joey Manley interview. Great stuff.

Hey, thanks, guys! So glad you like the strip.

And yeah, Joe -- you're right about Narnia. It had some real problems. If you (or anyone) want to talk about it, drop me an email at chris-(AT)-popcornpicnic-(DOT)-com.

There's a reason I didn't tackle that particular movie, despite its being a pretty big target.
