A Scanner Darkly
Something a little different this week.
In the spirit of Richard Linklater's semi-animated adaptation of Philip K. Dick's A Scanner Darkly, I decided to draw this week's strip by hand, then painstakingly paint, one pixel at a time, a photographic representation directly on top of the original cartoon.
I started drawing this strip six years ago, by the way.
Anyway, be sure to check it out, otherwise you'll miss the premier battle between good twin CHRIS and evil twin CROSS.
Which is the real me?
Ain't tellin'.

The facial expressions are all priceless. Perfect!
Why didn't you credit Anthony Michael Hall for playing the role of Crosstopher?
I couldn't get Anthony Michael Hall. He was too busy filming The Dead Zone Goes to Hawaii.
I had to settle for an Anthony Michael Hall lookalike.
I'm glad you thought he did a good job, C.A.!
I have to say, it gets funnier each time I read it, and it was pretty funny the first time.
I'd have to agree, thus admitting I keep coming back for another look. The fourth panel grimace gets me every time.
Well... Chris was MAD!
(Notice I'm referring to things in the third person so as not to reveal who's writing: CHRIS or CROSS.)

WTF?
i just got back from no-internet land and saw your strip...wtF?
i have to think about this.
